Food Insecurity Programs:
At Hope House, we are dedicated to ensuring that no family or individual in our community goes to bed hungry. Every Thursday, we conduct an on-site fresh food and produce giveaway.In collaboration with The Wake Forest Community Table, we provide hot meals to the community every Monday, making our facility a central gathering place. Additionally, in partnership with Friendship Chapel Baptist Church, we distribute pantry food items every Sunday after services.
Hope Seniors Program:
In collaboration with the North East Community Coalition, this program serves seniors by offering monthly activities and lunch. It supports those who may lack transportation or feel uncomfortable leaving their neighborhood, ensuring they remain engaged and supported.
Homework/Literacy Mentoring Program (Grades 1-6):
Hope House strives to empower high-risk youth by offering comprehensive educational assistance that extends beyond the classroom. This program is conducted regularly during after school hours. Our goal is to foster academic enrichment and support for students in grades 1 through 6.
Angel Tree Distribution:
In partnership with Toys for Tots and Friendship Chapel Baptist Church, Hope House hosts an
annual Christmas Angel Tree event serving surrounding counties. This initiative ensures that
children in need receive gifts and joy during the holiday season, providing for 400+ children annually.
Bookbag Giveaway:
To foster academic success among children in our community, Hope House collaborates with various partners to collect and distribute over 300 backpacks annually, each filled with essential school supplies for students from Pre-K to 12th grade. At our in-person giveaway event, in partnership with the Wake Forest Lions Club, we also offer complimentary eye exams and reading glasses.
Hope Camp (Summer):
Our fully subsidized summer camp program provides a safe and nurturing environment where underserved children can expand their horizons, learn new skills, and participate in a summer academic bridge program. The camp features breakfast, lunch, snacks, field trips, and a variety of activities, ensuring a comprehensive and enriching experience for all participants.
Hope Cares Support Group:
This program provides a support group for parents of special needs children, offering resources
and strategies to help their children succeed. It fosters a community of understanding and
shared experiences, promoting mutual support among parents.
